Default Heros that Tease

Has anyone tried using using tease on a hero?

I think it seems to work pretty well. Been testing it on ring of fire - I don't usually just rush into herds of fire imps...

The energy return of it can reach phenomenal levels.

Together with cry of frustration, it seems to work amazingly well when the mobs initiate attacks with their nukes. Sure stuff gets off - but so much seems to be mitigated.

My bar is currently

Tease, Cry of frustration, leech signet, power drain (main set - interrupt + energy) 14 inspiration (1+1)

The way I see it, that energy can fuel anything else.
I tried running /Mo with Heal party(laughs)/healing ribbon/cure hex/rez

I'm surprised to see that healing was well maintained, though I'd probably dump heal party and just leave healing ribbon unless certain circumstances warrant a party wide heal.

Has anyone given this a go (not necessarily for healing)? Interrupts with energy management - in this case being heavy anti-caster, not much direct damage mitigation.

It works so well, in fact, that people (ab)used Tease Mesmer hero's in Heroes Ascent.

There's also a PvE build for it on PvX, so yes, it's actually quite well known.

I use it on Norgu and I agree it works really well, I did the last three nightfall missions with this build on him. I took it from someone else here in the forum, here it is:

Tease, Clumsiness, Wandering eye, Power return, Power drain, Frustration, Inspired hex + rez
with only 10 inspiration he never runs out of energy anyway

Whenever I can't run a MM for Discord or Sabway I always take my variant of the build above and roll it on a Mesmer hero. The mass interrupts are really nice, and AI is good at utilizing them.

I use a tease+cry of frustration mesmer when i do Frostmaw's dungeon. Usually go with /monk as it can maintain 2 soh without any problems.

Interesting concept. I wonder if you could use the "Tease Engine" to fuel other variations like Orders, Protect, Curses, Healing, etc...

Exactly what I'm thinking.

Synergies - what skills benefits from interrupting targets?

I can thing of frustration, but that's about it.
Anything else with an "on interrupt will fall dead effect?"

So it really comes down to what sort of spells are best given the rate and consistency of energy gain.

Looking at their current position as mass interrupters:
- High energy spells would waste their energy anyway. Inspiration interrupts won't lessen the mana use, but regain it conditionally.
- Casters in caster range for interrupts - so maybe I shouldn't try using direct damage attacks. IW hero, with the ability to interrupt anything that can strip their enchantment? Nah
- In order to interrupt, they have to be available to do so - long cast time spammables can hinder them.
- prevents actions by nature, reducing the effectiveness of "effect on attack/hit/cast" or fail skills.

Still leaves a healthy amount of variation for offense, defence or the rest of mesmer mind job skills.

I tested a tease hero with only interrupts + soh. He easily maintained 2 soh and i believe he can maintain a 3rd soh with ease. Works well in frostmaw's burrows.

In no particular orders :

tease, cof, soh, power drain, leech signet, sig of distraction, sig of disruption and power spike.

The build can probably be tweaked.
